Drink Driving Question?
It is widely known that driving whilst intoxicated is a dangerous and irresponsible practice.
It is also widely known that some people are capable of drinking more than others without becoming intoxicated. Some people may be affected by alcohol to the point where their driving is affected without exceeding the legal limit.
Would it be more sensible to test drivers individually for their alcohol tolerance? This figure would then be recorded on their licence so that when breath tested the police would know the individual's limit.
The government might even have to shout us a few drinks every year and get us to resit the driving test to requalify for this level of blood alcohol content (as alcohol tolerance can change over time due to various factors).
Perhaps a 0.00 limit would apply until you had passed a test after downing a few cans.
